Acajoom is built in an older code from Joomla 1.0..
And it take too much time trying to make a component work to newest version of Joomla. Its like you buil a new component.
So we decided to create jNews built in an Advance code structure with more powerful features compare to Acajoom.
They are just same functionality but jNews is more advance compare to Acajoom.
And some reported bugs on Acajoom where fix on jNews and enhanced.
Acajoom only works for Joomla 1.0 -1.5 while jNews work 1.5 -1.7 of Joomla and we keep updating it.
To check other features:

Hi there,
I have had a website for about a year, running on free extensions, plugins and modules.
While I have nothing against free stuff, often you'll need to put up more work to get it up to your specifications. And most of time, you will also need a fair knowledge of css/html/js/php to tailor it to your needs.
So I recently started to look for different paid components, plugins, etc, and purchase quite a few, in vain of adding more functionalities to my website.
However, I felt ripped off many times, buying stuff that either doesn't even work, work partially, or didn't ended up with the features I had expected.
I wanted to offer digital downloads as well on my website, and while at it, let others sell their work as well (running an iPhone theming community website).
I had purchased nice paypal downloads and then purchased documents seller. Both left me wanting more, and documents seller was the closest to, but failed miserably because lots of the functionality built in (different views, for example) didn't worked for me. I first thought it could be because of my old 1.5 installation, and I'm in the process of migrating my 1.5 to 1.7, starting from scratch and manually importing. And the component didn't worked any better.
That's when I started to look for other solutions, and did a search for multiple vendors store component for joomla, and ended up here.
My first impression was, holy sh*t, 250$, I was used to components costing 10-50$ or so, with JomSocial being my most expensive purchase.
But, I still went thru the features list, and was really impressed. I then tried the demo on their website and I was even more.
The component's look in the backend isn't really the most beautiful UI you can have these days, if you look at easyblog, the backend UI is really amazing.
BUT, the functionalities are endless, and what really tipped the balance for me, was when I saw the massive numbers of comments here, all saying pretty much the same thing.
It was about 3AM for me when I came here, and live chat was available (I didn't knew at the time we had a 12 hours difference, but still was pleased by it), and their support really convinced me in trying out jMarket.
So I downloaded the demo, and tried it on my own, had a two little problems that got taken care of rapidly by their amazing support, and minutes later I was checking it out on my own website.
I then realized I needed the jSubscriptions components to handle subscriptions type of payment (but I admit I read the features list quickly seeking for the things that interested me most, so I might have skipped a few details about integrations of other software, and when I tried it on their own website, it was a full installation, so all features were enabled, but that is my fault).
I also realized I need the jAffiliates component to handles commissions. So they had me pay the difference by paypal, and let me have the powerpack even tho I didn't selected it initially.
I have had this sort of situation, recently, with another developer. I purchased 3 of his product separately, and wanted to have the 4th one included in the bundle for free (I had paid the same amount) and he refused.
I'm still rather new to Joobi's support and products, but I will go with everyone here and say that it's by far the best support i've ever had for any type of support situation, be it computer, or anything else. They really know how to treat their customers, and I can only recommend them to anyone browsing their website looking for a product here. You will hardly find anything better elsewhere. Don't let the price put you down, you get what you pay for.
Haven't you ever felt angry at some cheesy dev because he wasn't replying, fixing the problem or even updating his stuff? I know I have... but what can you expect when you pay 10-20$ for something that should cost a bit more.
My only regret is not knowing them earlier, I would have saved a good margin by not spending on stuff I didn't end up using.
I have been served by Sherryl and Chris, and both of them have been most friendly and helpful.
Many thanks to the dedicated Joobi team. If all companies in the world were run like yours, we'd live literally in paradise. :)
Sincerely,
Pierre-André Leclair
